Alex Lipsky drives the firm’s growth across the commercial and industrial markets, overseeing corporate strategy, marketing, estimating, and preconstruction operations. Alongside his brother Joel, he represents the third generation of family leadership, focused on expanding Lipsky’s footprint as one of Long Island’s most awarded general contractors. Active in regional development, Alex serves on the boards of the Long Island Builders Institute and HIA-LI. He is also a board member for the Boy Scouts of America Theodore Roosevelt Council.

Co-owner and CEO Joel Lipsky guides the family construction enterprise founded in 1955. After earning a construction management degree from the University of North Florida, he built a rigorous technical background with premier national firms including Turner Construction and the Haskell Group before returning to lead the family business in 2022. Joel sits on the board of the Associated General Contractors of New York State, chairs the Next Generation Construction Council, and has provided expert testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives on small-business contracting.

Dawn Gluck
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Dawn brings more than 20 years of construction industry experience to her role as Project Coordinator, including eight years with Lipsky Construction. She supports projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with project managers, operations managers, site supervisors, and the estimating department. Her responsibilities include Procore project administration, preparing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders, reviewing monthly requisitions, and assisting with accounting-related duties. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and willingness to help, Dawn provides dependable support to the Lipsky team, subcontractors, vendors, and project owners. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and five cats, taking walks with her husband, and watching Dallas Cowboys football.

Ariana Vasquez
OFFICE MANAGER
Ariana plays an essential role in the daily operations of Lipsky Construction, bringing more than 10 years of construction industry experience and two years with the company. As Office Manager, she oversees office administration, human resources support, licensing, regulatory compliance, bid solicitation, and marketing coordination. Her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities help ensure deadlines are met and every department has the resources needed to succeed. Ariana also coordinates staff lunches and company events, contributing to a productive and well-organized workplace. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time at the beach, volunteering at local dog-rescue adoption events, and defending her title as the 2025 Lipsky Construction Fantasy Football League Champion.

Adam delivers high-level oversight across Lipsky’s multimillion-dollar portfolio, leveraging a 25-year track record in complex commercial construction. His background features extensive coordination with major public agencies, including NYCHA, DASNY, and Metro-North. Notably, he served as the lead project manager for a landmark 79-story mixed-use development containing 781 residential units. He focuses on full-phase project management, safety enforcement, and strict regulatory compliance.

Project Manager
Ian’s 28-year career in the industry is backed by a strong foundation in architecture and construction management from SUNY Farmingdale. As the primary point of contact for his clients, he has successfully managed demanding federal and municipal contracts. His notable completions include a 6 million dollar bulkhead and drainage renovation, municipal resiliency repairs for the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery, and a 7 million dollar firehouse addition built to strict LEED guidelines.

Kevin Scarola
Project Manager
Kevin coordinates daily field operations, subcontractor scheduling, and budget analysis with a strict focus on structural quality control. Over his 27 years in the field, he has routinely supervised crews of up to 40 tradesmen across multiple concurrent jobsites. His ground-up project portfolio includes the successful delivery of 155 multi-family residential units, a 10,000 square feet commercial office building, and a specialized telemedicine ICU campus for North Shore LIJ.

Steve Cerro
Chief Estimator
Steve directs all aspects of preconstruction development, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination alongside ground-up proforma studies. He has generated precise estimates for project budgets between $300,000 and $60 million, covering light interior updates as well as complex high-rise builds. He holds a Master of Engineering in Construction Management, and his past project work includes capital improvements for the NYC School Construction Authority, DASNY infrastructure, and the Brooklyn Army Terminal.
